"Broken Car, Broken Dreams"

It seemed to be just an ordinary day,
But unfortunately fate would not have it that way.

Driving my Honda Pilot, I headed towards school.
Joyfully you see, I had a full tank of fuel!
As the sun shined like a priceless jewel,
I pulled into Cechino ready for school.

Although the sun was up, it was still a tad dark.
So my lights were on allowing me to park.
As the clock was ticking, I thought I would be late.
So I ran out of my car without thinking too straight.

Got to band just in time,
Did not get marked late nor did the bell chime.
Before I knew it, lunch time had arrived.
In the mood for Denaros, I felt so food deprived!

As I came to car, a surprise was waiting.
My headlights grew dim, the light was waning.
I forgot to turn off my lights in the morning!
If my car does not turn on, I surely will be mourning.

Thus as the story unfolds, my car did not start,
But then Christian came to soothe my aching heart.
He brought along his jumper wires and away went the fright.
Connected the wires to both cars nice and tight.
Finally my Pilot was up and running, ready for flight!

"Pop goes the Tire"

25 years ago, my Uncle and Aunt confirmed their love,
In the presence of their peers, and God watching above.
A ring on one finger and love in their heart,
They promised it all, "till death do us part."

Two kids and 25 years later
Their love still burns like the flame of a lighter.
25 years of marriage is a true milestone.
To show our appreciation a celebration must be thrown.

All together we decided a plan,
A perfect surprise for my Uncle and Aunt.
The day had come and we set of toward my Uncle's home.
But before we knew it, something came up and our ride was postponed.

As we cruised down the parkway heading towards Bear Mountain,
The car suddenly jumped. This will be bad for certain.
Broken shards of glass that twinkled like a star,
Pop the back tire of our car!

How will we ever get there on time now?
My father got nervous and wiped the sweat of his brow.
There is no way we can be late!
We have to get to their house before eight!

As my father and I thought for a few minutes,
It suddenly hit us! The trunk! There must be a spare tire in it!
We quickly jacked up the car and began to loosen the nuts.
We were able to change the tire without to much fuss.

We got on the road but not a moment too soon.
In the nick of time, we pulled into my Uncles driveway.
Decorated their house with streamers and balloons.
When my Uncle and Aunt saw the surprise, they were truly blown away.
