"#PhysicalUpdate"

High school is quickly coming to a close.
I want to play a sport, so tennis I chose.
I figured it would be fun to try something new,
And maybe I would even be good too!

I attended the meeting and signed up to play.
Mr. Manzo gave a speech to get our papers in the very next day.
However it slipped my mind and I did not get my physical,
Handing it in a few days late shouldn't be so critical!

However a few days went by,
And I still never got my papers in and the days began to fly.
Before I knew it it was a week till first practice.
My papers aren't clear and I don't want to miss practice.

I called up my doctor to set up an appointment.
The silly doctor at first thought I needed some kind of ointment!
I schedule a meeting the very next day,
And the doctor checked my vitals to clear me to play.

I got my physical in with one day to spare,
Next time I'll make sure to hand my papers in with a lot more care!

  1. I give you a lot of credit for going out for a whole new sport your senior year of high school! This poem made me laugh especially the part about your doctor thinking you needed ointment. Hopefully you are enjoying tennis!

  4. Such a catchy poem; I especially liked the line about the ointment! Getting a physical on time is always a pain, but at least you got yours just in time! I hope you enjoyed the tennis season :)
